Living in the COLD is getting OLD

Wednesday November 13th.
But we’ve been surrounded by the warmth of family and friends while we bide our time at Fifty Point. Doesn’t make the weather better but sure makes the wait until heading south day (Friday) a lot nicer.

Wonderful visit Monday with Marnie and John who drove down from the Big Smoke. After we bundled up and went for a chill (aka walk)…

Should we have 6 layers or 7?

Please give me a serious pose. Thanks. Do not try again.

we had a great chili (thank you Marnie for another excellent meal). Starting to look like everyone thinks we need cooking help. This is fantastic – if we’d known this would be the result we would have been homeless long ago. We were sad to see Marnie and John leave so we took a really bad picture of them driving away (sniff).

Another family dinner happened this week – hosted by Judith and Shawn (twice in 1 week – thank you Judith for all your work). Joined by Wayne and Edda.

Back to the tripod issue
And today we met with good friends Erika and Bob for a farewell lunch at Johnny Rocco’s in St. Catharines. Excellent. No photos because everyone had a seniors moment and forgot their cameras.

This kind of stuff makes it almost worth staying in Ontario for the winter. Except for the COLD part.

Bring on Global Warming. Start in Ontario please.

So we finally pull up stakes tomorrow (frost permitting) and start working our way SOUTH. OK just To Fort Weary (you have seen the town – right?) and then across the border the next day.

Our journey will be in 350 mile chunks and we expect to slow down around Little Rock Arkansas (if the weather is “Chilly Willy” approved). Maybe we’ll see some interesting stuff on the way and report in a few days.

Now you know you can take the rest of the week off from this chore (clicking to here).

Please use your time wisely (unlike the last 5 minutes).
